bargebo: here is a post from a typical weblog, maintained by the first-time parents of a little boy, who is around 1.5 years old. i like including posts like this to show the "real" life of an iranian. And also to show how so very similar we all really are.
often similarities between different people and their ways of life is striking. this is particularly moving when we think about the great geographical distances that divides us. have you ever noticed for example how many variations of the same childhood games and stories are shared between different children around the world? we are all fingers on the same hand. different, but part of the same collective.

from weblog: some words for my son
illness ...
hello my little one,
today is the third day that you are sick. you have high fever and have been burning like an oven. thank god, today you seem a little better. you have become very clingy to me these days and don't like to be put down from my arms or even to play for a few minutes with your toys.
you did something cute though:
the first day that your fever started, dad had to work late and you were burning and burning. I was running out of ideas to help you and i was all alone too. so i was getting very frustrated. i started crying. it was very childish of me but i cried aloud and said every single prayer i knew.
and you were watching me with your sickly eyes and then suddenly you put your pacifier in my mouth!
