bargeboo: recently i finished re-reading my copy of "this perfect day" by "ira-levin". it was translated as "unicomp" in iran. as wonderful as this book is, it is not what the following post is about. for those of you who have read this book, you will know what i mean once you read through the post. those who have not yet read it - what are you waiting for?! - then have a look at amazon and read the reviews or google it for some basic detective work into how this book maybe related to my post. (just a little change from the usual feeding you all that is on my mind! :D )

"sexual relations between couples should happen in specific times"
aftaab: one of ahmadinejad's cabinet members in the health oragization gathering has requested that sexual relations between couples should be regulated so they only happen in certain hours. according to koran's verses and religious narratives this would decrease the numbers of birth defects.
a reporter that reported the above news story from that gathering writes: in his speech, he put the prevention of illnesses and birth defects ahead of treatment and said if the koran's verses and religious narratives are honoured then the percentage of handicaps would go down.
in this formal gathering where ladies were also present, he went on to point out a particular religious narrative that outlines the specific hours of the night in which sexual intercourse would result in healthy babies.
the report also adds that some of the attendees were casting their eyes down in surprise and some were blushing with embarrassment. the mentioned cabinet member has a bachelor degree in mathematics and a masters degree in industrial engineering.
bargeboo: the statment above is offensive on so many levels that i don't even know where to begin. all i can say is: these are the people that rull iran now. how can anyone be surprised by what his boss says?! how can iran ever recover from this?
